Shaft wells are drilled in arsenic & fluoride affected formations where water from the first aquifer is exploited. Shaft wells are very useful in areas where groundwater potential is very low. Here shaft wells act as open well. Shaft wells turn out to be very functional in hard rock formations where groundwater is very low and it’s extremely difficult to dig an open well.
RK drilling had drilled more than 250 shaft wells with 18″ finished dia in Madhya Pradesh. These wells have been very efficient as they have eliminated the need for arsenic and fluoride removing plants in districts of Seoni and Mandla where water quality is affected in 2nd and 3rd aquifers.
